Is A Bump On The Forehead Due To Any Bleeding In The Head?
Brain bleeding very unlikely.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
There are two main factors that don't indicate any intracranial bleeding in your mother's case:
1- there are no symptoms of such condition (neurological symptoms such as loss of consciousness, nausea, vomiting, lethargy, speech issues, vision problems other than the "floater " you refer, any limbs weakness, etc)
2- the CT scan resulted in normal findings (CT scan is the preferred imaging modality when it comes to trauma).
So, for now, you shouldn't worry much more than necessary.
Late bleeding may happen only in cases with coagulation problems such use of blood thinners, liver disease, chemotherapy, etc.
Even in these cases, bleeding may occur in the first days after trauma, and periodic follow-up by your mother's primary care Doctor is sufficient, CT scan should be repeated only if there will be any new neurological symptoms mentioned before.
Only a "floater" located at the probably contused eye does not mean brain bleeding.
MRI is not necessary for the first phases after trauma.
