Is A Complete Health Check-up Required After Completion Of Chemotherapy And Radiation?
Question: My aunt was diagnosed with T2N0M0 breast carcinoma exactly a year back. 3cm, ER+, PR+, HER2--. Quadrantectomy done with axillary dissection. TC*4 chemo given with 21 days radiation. Chemo completed on 27th March, 2017. Radiation completed on 26th May, 2017. Currently on Femara.
She is due for her first follow up test this month. Treating oncologist just suggest Mammogram, pap smear, lipid profile and CBC. Is this enough or should I do a complete health checkup with 2D Echo, Chest X-Ray, Vitamin D etc…
Please note that Dexa Scan was done after her radiation treatment 6 months back and bisphosphonate(ZYCLASTIN) was given for osteopenia. Vitamin D test 6 months back was showing normal result and the supplement was stopped. She is taking Almighty tablet everyday along with Fermara as suggested by our oncologist.

Brief Answer:
The current plan seems fine
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for following up.
She appears to be doing well. All the tests suggested seems fine. We can definitely add vit d level to find out how that's doing. Dexa scan will be done again one year from the first one. And zyclastin every 6 months.
Regards
