Question: Is a late period but a negative pregnancy test (10 days) something to worry about in month 2 after ivf cycle failure.

Hi,

Late period alone would not signify anything post IVF failure. The hormones would be withdrawing after your pills and injection and would lead to erratic periods. It is good to continue to repeat pregnancy test.

So in terms of starting a new ivf cycle would I be able to do so if I do not have a recent period date? At what point should I worry if my period does not arrive?

Restarting IVF cycle

IVF cycle is better started after 3-6 months after the first IVF cycle when the periods resume and the hormones are assessed to be within normal range. Some physicians may rush through but I would advise a reset in the natural phase of hormones.
If you are on IVF every missed period needs a check.
