the lump is small, maybe the size of a quarter. visually the skin is normal. it is fixed. Tender if pushed on hard. Seems to have improved in the last few days. noticed it when I was treating a pimple behind the middle section of my ear behind the lobe. had dental work a month ago. lower left drilling, filling and new crown left me with unusual jaw pain. Three injections of numbing, I think they injured a muscle. This could be related. the jaw is now feeling better but it left me with a jaw click. the lump seems to line up just to the left of my lower left jaw line at the top on my neck
Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
With the history you have provided, the lump looks to be a lymph node.
You can wait and watch.
Or can consult your Doctor for clinical evaluation, an actual examination and treatment if your Doctor feels so.
Ultrasonography and FNAC may be required as in selected cases.
Does not look to be serious as per the history you have provided.
Surely needs a review by a Dentist too as there is jaw click to correct anything of importance.
I hope this answer helps you.
