Is A Pea-sized Lymph Node On The Left Side Of Neck Normal?
It is probably a reactive lymph node due to mild infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. Lymph nodes are structures which belong to the immune system and help to fight disease and inflammation. The neck is an area with concentration of lymph nodes and their position is known by levels
2. In your case there is a small 6.3 x 2.6 mm lymph node in the neck at level V on the left side of neck. Such a node us like to be reactive in nature which means it is due to mild infection. Therefore this is likely harmless. It is not related to HIV or STD disease.
3. Mild infection of head and neck region including flu, sore throat and dental problem can cause this and there is no need to panic.Usually small lymph nodes resolve with time and treatment of any mild infection.
Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Please get FNAC test done if lymph node increases in size
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. I am unable to find the exact medicine given by your doctor. However there is SANRA-DSR which is given for gastritis and I am not sure if it is the same medicine which is given by your doctor and request clarification.
2. Medicine roseac is not there in the list of medicines in my database and I request you to please clarify about it.
3. If the lymph node increases in size then a FNAC is suggested to confirm that it is from infection.
Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
It can be from mild infection and not always HIV and STDs

1. It is possible that you have a mild infection in head and neck area which is causing small lymph nodes. Any infection can cause this including cold and flu. Therefore it is not right to think of HIV and STDs.
