Is A Sudden Afib Episode A Cause For Concern?

Question: It is Memorial Day and my husband is having an A fib episode. He is supposed to donate blood regularly and has not gone lately. He is wondering if this might be the reason (thicker blood?) why he has gone into an A Fib episode. Should he go to the ER and be checked out first or is it ok to go donate blood? His cardiologist has not returned our phone call and we are not sure what to do.
Can someone please answer soon? I need to know if I should take my husband to the ER. He is in an A fib episode and we haven't heard back from his doctor or from your doctors. Thank you for responding. XXXX

Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.
Your husband should go to ER for a proper evaluation. After that if the doctor at ER will recommend he may go for blood donation.
There are may causes who can trigger atrial fibrillation and some of this causes may cause serious health problems. This is why you should go to ER.
Hope this will be of help!
