Is A Swollen Lymph Node In The Neck During Pregnancy A Concern?
Question: sir iam just discovered swallow lymph node as shown to doctor today in my neck Doctor just given some antibiotic medicine for 5 days then advised after that will go for sonography in case.Is swallow lymph node lead to cancer like leukemia or any other.please advice

Swollen lymph nodes are sometimes quite normal, especially in the neck. Commonly due to some viral or bacterial infection they get enlarged. This goes away spontaneously or after some antibiotics.
The size and character are important. Size more than 2 cm, firm/hard consistency will require further evaluation like Ultrasound or FNAC. Rarely, if above characters are found then cancer like lymphoma is a possibility.
Otherwise if smaller size, soft, XXXXXXX and reduces in size then not to worry, it is normal.
