Posted on Tue, 5 Sep 2017
Question: I seem to getting a bit more sensation in my penis after I urinate in the night time - then a few minutes later I get a mild cramping in my lower front abdomen that sometimes extend down to my testicles. What do you think about this? Please see my earlier question under "what have you tried til now" for background. thanks

Brief Answer:
Supportive care. Wait for biopsy. BPH likely cause

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking,

I read your question and I understand your concern. Urine discomfort at night with slightly raised PSA and normal DRE are likely in favor of Benign prostatic hyperplasia or simply called enlarged prostate.

I would not worry at this moment for the biopsy planned in 2 months and you can wait for that. Since you have a family history, may be that's why your doctor planned for it (based on 30% odds, they may be even lesser). However, you can try prostate enlargement remedies like Tamsulosin etc prescribed by your doctor and see if it helps.

I hope it helps. Feel free to ask further.
