Brief Answer:
Conjunctivitis

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to hear that your some splashed Dettrol antiseptic soap into his eye. He has some redness currently and this is from a mild chemical burn to the eye. Since it happened 2 days ago there is no reason to wash the eye. The chemical conjunctivitis will last a few days. I would recommend that he use a cold compress on the eye to reduce the redness. There is no danger to causing any permanent damage to the eye. In the future if he gets anything like that again he should rinse the eye with warm water.

I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions
