Posted on Wed, 22 Jun 2016
Question: I was using crest pro health mouthwash and it splashed out of bottle and hit my nose - I don't believe
it got into my eye because I have no burning and can see well. If I got some in my eye what would I feel burning and what could it do to my eye? I rinsed my eyes with water.

Brief Answer:
Just rinse your eyes with lukewarm water

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM,

Crest pro health mouthwash is a germicidal or antiseptic which probably will not cause much effect in your eyes if splashed accidentally.

Just rinse your eyes with lukewarm water for 10 to 15 minutes frequently in a day for 1 or 2 days and there is no need to apply any antibiotic eye drops at present.

However,if you have burning feeling or redness in your eyes the antihistamine eye drops will be helpful after consulting to some local doctor or GP.

Otherwise there is no need to worry as it will not cause any damage most probably.
