Is Acupressure Treatment Advisable For Children?
True homeopathy does not work, not advisable while sleeping.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXXXXX
Thank you for writing to us with your concern.
Acupressure is not advisable for young children, definitely not while sleeping.
The problem with this method of massage or Tuina is that these massage therapists are not aware of the pediatric physiology and anatomy.
Children are not miniature adults, please understand this very clearly, adult human bodies can bear some rough handling and pressure, but the bones in young children are not mature enough to withstand the pressures and contortions of Tuina.
It will be better to give gentle massages yourself after learning the techniques from a qualified physical therapist under the supervision of a pediatrician.
As for homeopathy, less said the better. If the treatment given is indeed truly homeopathic, then there is not even a single piece of evidence to support the claim that homeopathy works.
