I think it would be best for you to avoid significant consumption of alcohol.

An occasional alcoholic beverage - light beer or otherwise would not likely be harmful. By this I mean one or two drinks per week.

you have had a significant surgery and your body is still in the process of recovery. Minimizing excessive alcohol consumption is the optimal approach in your situation.

As mentioned above, and occasional alcoholic beverage would not likely be harmful.
