Is An Abdominal Ultrasound Necessary For Pain Under Ribcage?
Question: Hi, I am a 63 year old female. I have been sarcoidosis of the lungs, lymph nodes and. bones. I am on 10 mg of prednisone , 6 tablets of methotrexate weekly and remicade every 5 weeks. I have been having pain on my right side just under the rib cage. My doctor performed liver function tests which came back normal. He has also ordered an abdominal ultrasound and upper GI with intestinal follow through. Should I still have these tests when liver function panel is ok?
