Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

- you want to know significance of the score and does the score mean that he will progress to fibrosis soon?

His Fibroscan score is 6.46 kPa. It is well within normal limits. He is NOT having fibrosis. All the other tests are within normal limits now. He is UNLIKELY to progress to fibrosis provided all the risk factors are under control.

hello sir.thanks for your reply.but my question is that his score is 6.46 and the normal range ends at at 7kpa.that sounds close enough. so does that mean in a few months or a few years score can become 7 or more than 7kpa coz 6.46 is close enough to 7.thanks in advance.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me with more questions.

If you can go through my previous post you can see I have mentioned he is UNLIKELY to develop fibrosis PROVIDED ALL THE RISK FACTORS ARE UNDER CONTROL.

He is not obese and his cholesterol is under control. His liver function numbers have returned to baseline.
There is no factor that would damage the liver further and cause fibrosis.

Only if anything is damaging the liver the score will increase. Otherwise it will not.

Dr.R.K.
