Brief Answer: XXXXXXX lab angiography to be done only if tests show risk of heart disease

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
There is no reason to fear a heart attack if you have got detailed examination of the heart done by a cardiologist. In the evaluation of risk of heart disease the following non invasive tests are important.

(i) ECG
(ii) Echocardiography
(iii) Lipid profile
(iv) TMT if required

Angiography is done only if you have symptoms and there is a significant probability of heart disease by ECG, echocardiography, abnormal lipid profile tests and TMT is abnormal.

Angiography is not necessary for you unless your doctor has found any test to be positive of risk of heart disease.

If you still want peace of mind without going for the XXXXXXX lab angiography then I suggest you get CT angiography done. This is non invasive and a quick procedure. There is no risk in CT angiography as compared to XXXXXXX lab angiography which carries a little amount of risk.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek

Brief Answer:
Please find details below

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

Lipid profile being normal, you do not have increased risk of heart disease. CT angiogram is not required but I wrote it because it is safer than XXXXXXX lab and in case you want to get it done for peace of mind.

The cause of your discomfort from left neck and under shoulder can be due to the following
1. Anxiety and stress.
2. Your posture while sitting down
3. It is possible that you might have gastritis

Hope your query is answered.
