Brief Answer:
Vaccination rightly taken.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I understand your concern.

I have gone through the uploaded images as well.

You have taken Rabies vaccine at the right time.

The requirement of vaccine in your brother's case is very minimal.Simple red scratch will not warrant a vaccination.

The last is absolutely given in a wrong place.

Despite of this, a repeat dose is not necessary. As mentined earlier, the animal is alive after 10 days irrespective of its behaviour is a good sign that it is not rabies infected.

Pertaining to personal advise, never given injections at odd sites since this can injure nerve supplying shoulder muscles leading to paralysis.

Immediately after dog bite, wash the wound under running water for 20 min
This will eliminate the risk of rabies by 90%.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Another vac dose can be taken considering the inefficacy of the last dose.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I understand your concern.

Do not get confused/overstressed pertaining to dog's survival and behaviour.

Usual dictum is if the dog survives beyond 10 days after the bite, it is less likely to be a rabid dog.

Now since you had the vaccination, the parameters pertaining to this dog will not matter anymore. You are in safe hands.

Yes, you can have another dose(this is optional, but not mandate). It will not cause any side effects.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Abnormal behavior in the dog is a pointer to rabies unless otherwise proved

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

Yes, abnormal dog behaviour is always a pointer to rabies in most dogs especially after 10 days of survival.Hence, we should always assume the dog to be rabid unless otherwise proved if it shows behavioural abnormality after the 10th day and before its death.

Normal dog behaviour during this period may or may not indicate rabies in the dog.

Yes it is okay to take vaccination after a delay of 2 day(30th day). This delay is okay and absolutely NOT dangerous when it comes to the last dose.

In case of dry wound licks, a minor possibility of rabies virus transmission exists.Hence in all such cases, I recommend Vaccination.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
