Question: I have been diagnosed with labyrinthitis with resulting BPPV. is it possible that this could have caused me to feel anxious and depressed over the last few months? Thankyou
Brief Answer:
Yes it is most certainly possible
Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Yes, BPPV can easily result in anxiety and depression in many patients which is why some patients are supervised over a period of time and even anti-depressants are prescribed in such cases.
But, I would assume this only after all other causes of depression or anxiety are ruled out. Please discuss this with your doctor, as you most probably may require help for the anxiety and/or depression as well.
Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help.
Best wishes.

Thank you. Is my fuzzy headache, my "unreal" feeling in my head all part of this complaint? My doctor has diagnosed me with labyrinthitis as well as BPPV (vertigo). Thank you
Brief Answer:
May be, but pls elaborate on the unreal feeling you are experiencing
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am.
Your fuzzy feeling in the head can be part of this, but the unreal feeling is something I cannot associate with labyrinthitis or BPPV.
Best wishes.
