Question: Hi doctor, my kid is 18 months old now. Is it safe to use a Mosquito repellant ointment like odomos etc..?

Thanks for writing to us.

Odomos repellant has been approved by XXXXXXX medical association as safe to be applied for kids. Mosquitoes transmit diseases like malaria and dengue which can be avoided only by preventing mosquito bites.

Odomos is safe if applied on areas except below wrist on hands. This is because babies tend to put their hands inside mouth.
You can apply on face and body.
But try using it minimally.
Use full sleeve shirt and full pant for your baby.

Net is the safest way to prevent mosquito bite.
Avoid coils and liquidators.
