Can take beta blocker
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
Metoloprolol is a good drug for patients who have undergone by pass surgery. It has shown that patients on beta blockers fare better and do better than patients not on them. You will have to be careful about two things while on it. Heart rate and blood pressure, both tend to fall low and some patients suffer from giddiness due to this, I usually lower the dosage when this happens.
Beta blockers are not contraindicated in patients with kidney transplant, you can go ahead and take it
I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

In such a situation I recommend Amlodipine, it has cardio protective agents just like beta blockers. It wont cause restless syndrome and giddiness like beta blockers. I recommend starting a low dose first and then titrate according to blood pressure
