Is Bilirubin Level Of 5.8 A Cause For Concern?

Question: Hi I was having fever and on testing my Bilburinlevel was 5.8 and platetes were 108.Now after 5 days I have beentested egative for Hepatitis a B and C.But my ilburin level has gone up to 5.9 However thePlatets level have gone up to 190.
Pl advise further course of action and any medication.I am on complete bed rest for last 4 days and on Juices.Porrige and Fruits

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I've read you query and understood your problem.

What you are having is hyperbilirubinemia as you know obviously.

Good thing is that you have tested negative for hep B and C. In that case it looks more like as Hepatitis A infection as it's more common in XXXXXXX

It spreads by drinking contaminated water containing Hepatitis A virus.

First thing you should do is drink water from clean and known source only. Drink boiled water if possible. Also ask your family members to do the same as you have got it, then can also get it.

Meanwhile send me/Upload your all reports you have done till now including full LFT and CBC if you have done it. Will go through it once for my knowledge so I shouldn't miss out anything else.

Will advice you further course after I see the reports.
