Brief Answer:
Die to side effect of I-pill.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The bleeding that she had on 8th Dec is due to the side effect of I-pill. It is not due to pregnancy. This bleeding is due to the high dose of hormones in the i-pill. Her normal periods can also be delayed by 1-2 weeks. Please do not worry as the chances of pregnancy are less than 5%.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Brief Answer:
Details below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
There are several kinds of contraceptive pill available. However, best & effective pill is Combined Contraceptive Pill like FEMILON, NOVELON etc.

They contain low dose estrogen and progesterone. They give highest protection (more than 99% - after 1 month used) against unwanted pregnancy if taken regularly on proper schedule time.

For best results, it should be taken from D1 of cycle for continuous 21 days with 7 days gap to get period normally. In addition, during the first month you need to practice protected sexual intercourse with some back up method (like condom, spermicide gel etc) to maximize the contraceptive protection.

Hope my answer is helpful.
