Brief Answer:
Blood in urine is abnormal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i'm very impressed by your question.

Blood in urine is abnormal. Thus it becomes absolutely needed to find the source.
Once source and cause for bleeding is found, it should be treated properly.
Then, there won't be a recurrence of bleeding and you remain healthy.

Cystoscopy is an endoscopic test, to look inside your bladder and urine tube from bladder to the opening outside.
One can also see urine flowing, from kidneys into bladder.
CT scan looks at your entire urinary system, from kidneys to bladder.
With these two tests, one has an idea about possible source and cause of bleeding.
Hope your doubts are cleared. It's always good to know about all aspects of treatment, before undergoing them.
Wish you well.
