Brief Answer:
Considering age of 69 further investigations are strongly recommended.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Male/69 - bloody gelatin like substance mixed with stools - stopped by the next time you had a movement...

This is certainly not a normal thing to occur.
This can occur due to colon's response to something which is not normal, which can be an ulcer or a polyp, mass and so on.
I would advise you the following:
Watch for the stools every time you pass it.
Send the stool sample for test.
Colonoscopy is strongly recommended.
CT scan of the abdomen if required.

I hope this answer helps you to have an early diagnosis by confirmation or by ruling out the possible cause and to have a proper plan of treatment.
Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
