For your age bp of <140/90 is considered normal. 152/90 is therefore high.
Also note that a single reading of high bp in a earlier normal individual does not diagnose hypertension. It has to be at least 3 readings of high bp taken at different time.
For bp of 152/90 we generally do not directly start medication & ask patients to decrease salt intake to minimum, avoid junk food, stop alcohol & smoking and do regular exercise. In most bp gets controlled with that. If not than we start medication.
