Is Blood Pressure Value Of 109/69 A Cause For Concern?
Normal readings.
Detailed Answer:
Greetings! Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Care Magic. I am Dr. Meriton. I understand your concern.
Well, I can tell that this is not a septic situation or sepsis. Sepsis is accompanied with a very severe clinical scenario, with much lower blood pressure and high temperature. As for the blood pressure figures, the normal blood pressure is 100-139/60-89 mmHg. So, the figures you provided are within normal range and almost never produce such symptoms like dizziness, blurry vision etc. My opinion is that you have nothing to worry about, adding your age of 33 years old to your history. Obviously and understandably, this is a worrisome event or events to you. In cases of excessive psychological stress, a flush of adrenalin in the system happens. This affects the heart rate, by increasing it. In young ages, when our mind is set to a perfect functioning of the organism, every little thing "out of the normal" tends to be stressful to us. Hence, I believe, your heart rate. However, if these are worrisome phenomena to you, such that they can affect your quality of life or work, I recommend an EKG and an echocardiogram, to assess the electrical and conduction system if the heart, and the size, motion and function of heart muscle and vavles, respectively.
I hope I was helpful with my answer. If you have further questions, I would be happy to help.
Kind regards,
Dr. Meriton
Lisinopril
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
Providing the information that you take lisinopril is very helpful. This is the first thing I recommend you to try: halve the lisinopril dosage for one week, i.e. only 5 mg in the morning. If the blood pressure figures, perceived as low by your organism, continue, then discontinue lisinopril altogether. You see, sometimes, when high figures of blood pressure are found, medical treatment to lower it is immediately installed. My opinion is that, in young ages (under 45 years old), other measures should be undertaken to lower it, and withhold treatment for a while, especially because this medication in young ages can cause low blood pressure and produce symptoms.
I hope this helps. Wish you a good health. If you do not have any further questions, I kindly ask you to close the discussion and rate the answer.
My kindest regards,
Dr. Meriton
