Is Blood Pressure Value Of 130/80 A Cause For Concern?

Following answer to your query.
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking again!
I read your query and understood your concerns.
You are reporting to have recently a BP 130/80 mmHg which is within upper limits of the norm. My opinion is that you don't need to take medications to keep BP under controls.
If you were my patient I would recommend to normalize your BP with healthy lifestyle and diet. These measures will help to keep BP under control without any side effects (unwanted effects). The recommended measures are as follows:
- Reduce salt and alcohol intake
- Quit smoking
- Increase physical activities
- Eat a healthy diet reach in fresh fruits and vegetables, poor in animal fats and diary.
- Add Omega 3 fish oils supplements
- Avoid unnecessary stress.
After reviewing your symptom they are typical for inner ear (ENT) problems or cervical spondiloarthritis. This is why I would like to suggest to contact an ENT specialist and a rheumatologist for a proper evaluation of your symptoms.
Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!

Hi back,
Palpitations and tachycardia is a rare side effects of valsartan. Moreover stress, and laying on the left side of the bed may make palpitations and tachycardia to seem worse than they really are.
However in order to properly evaluate your heart conditions ( and to relieve your concerns ) I would like to suggest the following examinations:
- ecg
- cardiac echo
- holter monitoring
- stress test
This examinations will definitely exclude any cardiac problems. If all these examinations will be normal than palpitations are more likely related to stress and anxiety.
Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!
