
Is Burping After Each Feed Necessary In An Infant?

Question: Hi my baby is 1 month old but does not burp after breast feed is it normal

During feed baby usually swallow the air and that air gets released during burping.
Burping after each feed is advised in baby as excessive air may lead to false sense of stomach fullness and also vomiting.
If baby is feeding in such a way that he is not swallowing air in large quantity,you may not notice the burp.
I won't get worried if baby is not vomiting and accepting feeds well.I would suggest you to continue burping.
