Is Chest Pain And Shortness Of Breath With Normal EKG A Symptom Of MERS?

I has been 2 weeks, no rash, and the pain is still as severe! I am 57 years old, in fairly good health.
I did fly to NYC 2 weeks ago? Should I be concerned about MERS?
Thank you!

No need to be afraid of MERS
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. I have reviewed your information and there is just no reason to be scared of a possible MERS. First, there is no history of strong exposure and secondly the classical symptoms of fever, cough, breathing difficulties are absent. This condition generally worsens over a short time and two weeks is enough time to have realised this.
I will like to know is costochondritis(inflammation of the soft tissues) was considered as a possible cause of these symptoms? I would want to believe so and prescribe adequate anti inflammatory and pain medications for this. This would be evaluated for effectiveness or not.
In all, no need to get worried about MERS. Consider asking your doctors about costochondritis and request for pain and anti inflammatory medications for this.
I hope this helps. U wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarification if need be. Thanks for using our services.

You were very helpful!! I have had costochondritis before, and yes, it does seem similar!
Thanks again!!
Keep me updated!
