Brief Answer:
personal hygiene is important

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to healthcare magic.I understand your concern.
In my opinion to keep perineal area clean and away from smell following are to be followed:-
1) Washing the perineal area with normal water or lukewarm water along with mild soap.
2)Regular shaving or trimming the pubic hair.
3)Washing the area with normal water after passing of urine.
Also washing the genitals and urination before and after the intercourse by both partners and along with safe sex practices like condom usage helps in preventing sexually transmitted infections.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss furthur.
Best regards...Dr srilatha
