Brief Answer:
As long as it does not hurt, climbing of the stairs is ok.

Detailed Answer:
Hi & Welcome
I can understand your concern.

As long as you are comfortable while climbing the stairs, there should not be any problem in using the stairs daily. However, you must take the following precautions while climbing the stairs:

1. Go slowly
2. Flat footed - meaning lead with your heel when climbing so it hits the stair too (most people climb on forefoot).
3. When going up, lead with your good or better side.
4. When going down, lead with you worse side.
5. Keep your posture good especially for lower abdomen and remain upright.
Avoid forward bending, you must use the rail for additional support.

Hope the suggestions given above could be useful.
Best regards.
