Is Colonoscopy Procedure Advisable While Suffering From Cough And Cold?
Question: I have a colonoscopy scheduled tomorrow and will have to start the prep today. I have come down with a head cold: stuffy nose, cough aches and congested head. My question is will I be able to go thru with the colonoscopy with a head cold.

I read carefully all your concerns and I can say as follows:
1. Your symptoms may be related with :
- viral infection
- blood hypertension
2. This is why I would recommend you to :
- check blood pressure
- check your fever
If you have high/low blood pressure and /or high fever than I would suggest to stop colonoscopy preparation.
If you are not with fever and your blood pressure is within normal range than you can follow with colonoscopy preparation.
