Is Complete Sedation Done For Hemorrhoid Energy Therapy?

Question: I am 66 yr old male in good general health. I have large internal hemeroids bleeding once a week. I went to a doctor who uses HET method. He said they put patients to sleep before doing HET. Is this the norm for HET ? Also I understood that the burn some of the blood vessels that supply blood to the Hemeroid. These blood vessels are in the upper low pain par of the rectum. I am wondering can these burnt blood vessels lead to cancer over time? Does this affect my longevity?

Hi
I read carefully all your concerns and I can say aa follows:
- before HET method for hemorroids treatment your doctor will use sedation drugs.
- You will be quite ,free of pain and stress during the procedure.
- with regards burnt blood vesels , please don't worry there is no increased rrisk for cancer after this procedure.
There is evidence for relation between cancer and burnt blood vessels after HET.
Hope it was helpful to you!
If you have other concers I would be glad to assist you.

Thanks Dr Klerida for your response. You said there is evidence for relation between cancer and burnt blood vessels after HET. That implies increased risk of cancer. Is that what you meant?
Is there a way to shrink the Hemeroids by tablets or oral medication? I am very healthy otherwise with excellent blood pressure, no diabetes and a zero cardiac calcium score with regular exercise.
Other treatments I know are rubber band, Laser and HET. Is that the complete list? What method you think is best in terms of near term results and no adverse long term effects. Thank you.

My answer means that there is no evidence to show a relation between burnt vessels and cancer.
This is why To my opinion there is nothing to be worried.
With regards to way of treatment of hemorroids ,I can say that hemorroids grade 1-2 doesn't need surgery.
On the other hand hemorroids grade 3-4 needs surgery treatment.
witg regards to modality of surgery I prefer HET treatemnet.

Thanks for your response.
One of my doctors does the CRH O'Regan system. He says there is no sedation and very little pain. Is this the normal banding or something much better? Will you consider this surgery?
My hemeroids are grade 1 or 2. I understand that oral Calcium Dobesilate-Doxium therapy can shrink the hemeroids. Is this correct? Thank you.
