Is Conception Possible With Fundal Fibroid In Uterus?

default
Posted on Mon, 1 Dec 2014
Question: Hi I had an ultrasound and my findings were as below: the uterus was not enlarged. There was a probable small fundal on the right of 13mm diameter. The myometrium otherwise appeared normal. Both ovaries normal including a 12mm diameter dominant follicle on the right. No pelvic mass or free fluid.

Can I still try to have a baby or do I need the fibroid removed?

Brief Answer:
Did you mean fundic fibroid of 13 mm size.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Fibroid of such size won't affect fertility, you can still get pregnant.

There is no need to treat such a small sized fibroid.Infact getting pregnant can sometime reduce size of fibroid.

Even ovaries with dominant follicles look normal.

Hope this helps. Please ask if there are doubts.Regards
