Brief Answer:
He's in renal failure with probably gasto-enteritis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i can understand your concern.
Your father has developed renal failure, with or without gastro-enteritis.
He'll need to see a Nephrologist and get the following tests done urgently :
1. stool routine snd culture.
2. blood routine,RBS, LFT,platelets and electrolytes.
3. ultrasound abdomen and pelvis.
4. After the reports are available, an OGD with a colonoscopy may be needed.
He'll need an antibiotic course and anti-diarrhoeal treatment.
An intra-venous fluids replacement will be needed,to prevent dehydration.
Wishing him a speedy recoveru/
