Is Cryotherapy Advisable For Removing Genital Warts?
But I have not had sexual intercourse (or oral sex) in over 10 years. Does the doctor's diagnosis sound plausible? Does it sound likely? If so, is cryotherapy the best treatment? Better than painless cream like Aldara? Will it significantly reduce risk of cancer, even though it apparently does not cure virus ? Thank you.
Pathological change in birth mark warrants its removal at earliest .
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query thoroughly .
* There are possibilities of wart without sexual intercourse or oral sex .
So there may be chances of doctor`s diagnosis sound likely .
* In my opinion it is the pathological changes in the birth mark , giving increase
in size of the same , you strongly require final line of management rather
than taking risk of turning it into cancer .
* As the lesion has doubled in size , I strongly recommend definite treatment
rather than creams .
Many options are working as best like
- excision - cryotherapy - electrosurgery - laser surgery
option of the most suitable treatment is decided by the treating surgeon after
in patient evaluation with thorough clinical aspects .
* Removal will definitely reduce risk of cancer for sure .
* Biopsy examination of the lesion is a must for pathological diagnosis and
further management if any needed , what ever option you choose .
Hope this clears your query .
Welcome for further assistance .
Wishing you fine recovery .
