Question: I had a ct scan with contrast two nights bc of right side lower abdominal pain . The scan found an Irregular-appearing presumed ruptured 2.1 cm right ovarian cyst or dominant follicle with a small amount of surrounding free fluid. No hyperdense fluid collections or focal inflammatory changes. The pain subsided and I was fine all day yesterday . But tonight it’s hurting again . My period is due today or tommorrow. Do i need to be checked again or is this normal bc my period is abt to start ?

Brief Answer:
It is due to cyst only

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

This pain could be due to cyst only, if it is persistent pain ,cyst has to be remove. You can take analgesic medication and wait and watch for your menses.

Hope found useful, feel free to ask more information. Good luck.
