Is Doppler Study Of The Baby Necessary In Pregnancy?

Question: hello doctor
my wife is 4 months pregnant. she had rubela infection before. in early pregnancy she had some bleeding due to slight placental abruptio. till now we did 3 ultrasound tests, in all the tests baby's growth is excellent, and there is no more bleeding. in short everything was excellent in 3rd ultrasound test which we did aft completing 3 months. now her gynac is asking us to do color dopler ultrasound to check baby's wellbeing as she had rubella infection which affects baby's vital organs. she is taking torchnil an aurvedic tablets from last 8 month. so my question is ...is it really necessary to do this test

Doppler study of the baby is very important at this gestation as it will tell us -
- Placemtal development
- causevof bleeding
- future risks associated with the pregnancy like growth retarded baby Or hypertension.
