Question: I am on pravastin. Is it safe to eat grapefruit?

Brief Answer: Not recommended to use simultaneously Detailed Answer: Namasthe Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day It is not advisable to take grape juice with pravastin. Grape juice inhibits the enzyme cytochrome P3A4 which is enzyme metabolising pravastin. Concomitant use will lead to elevated level of pravastin causing increased adverse effects including myopathy.
