Hi....this is not a sign of jaundice. But I have a few questions for you.

1. Has thyroid status been screened for the baby?
2. How is the baby's activity while feeding?
3. Is the baby passing motion daily?
4. Is there any yellowish discoloration of the eyes or face?

Thyroid status has been screened and normal, usually active while feeding but yesterday was mostly sleepy while feeding and woke up crying to feed up. Baby is passing motion daily , yesterday 4 times and colour yellow and urine colour yellowish transparent . yes slight discoloration on face which seems to be decreasing.

Brief Answer:
Don't worry... Babies sleep 18 hours a day at this age

Detailed Answer:
Hi.... please do not worry.

At this age babies usually sleep 18 hours per day.

Your kid seems to be having a physiological jaundice which is regressing now.

At the same time if the baby is actively feeding and passing urine and motion normally you need not worry.

The most important sign of illness at this age is stopping of feeding and temperature above 101 degrees Fahrenheit.

I FEEL THAT YOUR BABY IS A WELL BABY.
