Question: a Co worker told me because I am 6 weeks pregnant I should not be working in the atmosphere I do that it could harm the baby. I work in high levels of h2s and chemicals I this true?
Brief Answer:
It is better to avoid.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for ttrusting us about your health care.
I can understand your concern here.
Congratulations on your pregnancy!
There is no study done on human beings to see the results of exposure of h2s and other chemicals and they can cause teratogenic effects on fetus or not, it is not established.
But as exposure to these gases can cause harm to normal human being, it is better ( if possible) to avoid these situations as you are pregnant.
Hope it is useful, feel free to discuss more.
Enjoy happy and safe motherhood.
Regards
