Is Extreme Aching And Soreness In The Left Buttock And Behind The Left Thigh After Jogging The Previously Day An Issue?
Different possible causes
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Pain in one thigh and one buttock would imply that it may be related either to the muscles on that side specifically that have gone into spasm due to your activity or it may be due to sciatica.
Sciatica occurs as a result of injury or abnormal function of the sciatic nerve. It would normally cause symptoms in the buttock and thigh area.
Sciatica, though, is commonly associated with symptoms burning, numbness, stinging or tingling or other neurological symptoms.
You can consider using a pain killer and muscle relaxant along with warm compress to help relax the muscles, this would help if the pain is related to muscle spasm.
Anti inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen or cataflam or naproxen.
A muscle relaxant may need to be prescribed by your doctor eg flexeril, soma and baclofen
Warm compress can be applied 3 to 4 times a day for 15 to 20 mins.
If there is no improvement or you experience any of the neurological symptoms mentioned, you should be seen.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions.
