Brief Answer:
One more shot of
vaccine on to other shoulder.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
It is my pleasure to answer your query,
Antirabies vaccine and the rabies immunoglobulin (HRIG), should be taken at different sites.
The ready made
antibodies (HRIG) can neutralize the antigen of antirabies vaccine and may interfere in inducing protective
rabies virus neutralizing antibody (RvNab) titres, if it is given in the same shoulder.
I suggest you to take one more shot of antirabies vaccine on to other shoulder by intramuscular route and complete the full schedule of antirabies
vaccination.
The antirabies vaccine and human rabies
immunoglobulins (HRIG) are very safe and they are known to cause minor side effects like pain and induration in the injection site.
Hope you got the answer for your query, if you have any further questions I am very much happy to answer them.
Thank you.
