Be the cause ? Is it due to diet ?
Brief Answer:
Further evaluation is needed to document the cause.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam.
I understand your concern.
Ferritin of 9 is very an extremely low value.
This suggests gross deficiency of iron stores.
This can have multiple causes among which dietary deficiency is most common.
I advise you to have a complete panel of tests to determine the cause.
For this the basic tests are-
1.Complete blood counts.
2.Peripheral blood smear.
3.Red cell indices.
4.Serum Iron.
5.Transvaginal Ultrasound.
Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Possible Early stage of XXXXXXX
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam.
I understand your concern.
Normal value of ferritin for women is 12-300 mg/dl.
Its possible to have normal hemoglobin with low ferritin levels.
It indicates an early stage of iron deficiency anemia/IDA,where stores /reserves are lost first.
Also a mixed or dimorphic picture of Iron deficiency plus Folic/B12 deficiency can co exist in setting of low vit D as well.
For this I advise you to take Cap Conviron forte one tab thrice a day for 6 months.
Additionally tab Matilda ER can be taken one tab every alternative day for 30 days.
This regimen will absolutely reverse all your lab abnormalities quite accurately.
Please note these drugs have to be taken under strict medical supervision.

Brief Answer:
Its a rare possibility.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam.
Internal bleed can still be a possibility but rare.
For this a stool examination for occult blood will help.
Like wise any menstrual cycle abnormalities should be ruled out .
Thank you.
