Brief Answer:
Can be due to local swelling.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The splint can cause a mild pain in case there is a local swelling in the area. Try to have some rest and do not remain standing for long hours. It is best to take rest and keep your foot elevated on two pillows to reduce the swelling. Once the swelling reduces, you will feel more comfortable. In case you are unable to move your toes and the toes are turning blue then do consult your orthopedician immediately.
I hope this answers your query.
