Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

As per your symptoms and the urinalysis, it appears as though you are suffering from some infection. I would ask for a urine culture to plan further treatment.

A renal sonogram also aids. Sometimes, chronic constipation can lead to increased pelvic pressure and this in turn leads to symptoms of pressure in the urethra and the vagina. The female urethra is very short and is easily prone to infection, especially with pressure.

Please see a physician for a complete evaluation and get further management. An assessment by a nephrologist may be made if deemed necessary.

Please take adequate liquids, avoid prolonged sitting and standing and increase fiber intake to avoid constipation in future. An urinary antibiotic may suffice after investigation. Urinary anti-spasmodic helps to relieve the strangury and urgency.

Hope your query has been clarified. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.

Brief Answer:
Kegel's can help relieve stress incontinence.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

Piles or hemorrhoids are a consequence of constipation and associated pressure rise. You can practice Kegel's exercises for strengthening the pelvic floor, relieve constipation and this also aids in relieving stress incontinence, which, I think, is rare at your age.

Once you get the correct diagnosis of the exact type of infection, if at all, that has occurred, an antibiotic course of one or two weeks is usually sufficient.

To relieve further progress of piles, you should exercise, eat high fiber diet and take plenty of liquids, avoid prolonged sitting and standing and most importantly, do not postpone to use the toilet whenever you get a reflex.

To prevent recurrent urinary infections, please maintain genital hygiene, avoid using tampons and instead use pads, have adequate fluids, take diet rich in vitamins and minerals to improve natural resistance.

Hope your doubts have been answered. Please contact for further information. I will be ready to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
