Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic,
If this is the first episode of genital herpes then you may take the tablet for 10 days. If this is a recurrent episode you may stop it now.
You have a feature to upload the images by yourself at the right side of the query page, please utilize that so that I can assess the healing. You can also send the image as attachment to YYYY@YYYY , with the subject as 'Attn: Dr. Johny Chacko'.
Hope this helped,

Thank you Dr Chacko
I have uploaded an image - the file name is spots.jpg
Please review it. There is no puss but faint pink spots are still there. This is after 7 days of generic valacyclovir (from XXXXXXX ...) 2g per day
I am wondering if I am infectious in this condition. I feel fine, sometimes a little tingling in my fingers (maybe unrelated). So sores anywhere.
Thank you - XXXX
Oops typo - I meant "no sores anywhere"

Brief Answer:
Take tablets for 2 more days
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome back,
I can see only few red spots and no active herpes lesions. In any case continue the course of Valacyclovir for totally 10 days if this is the first episode. You are less infectious in this condition as you do not have any active blisters. Theoretically there is a small possibility of asymptomatic viral shedding in herpes. That means even when you do not have any active disease there is a small possibility of transmission through normal looking skin.
Hope this helped,
Take care.
