Is Hanging Hand With Sling Enough To Heal ?
Question: Hello doctor ...
I fell on ground 14 days ago and have fracture as showing in the x ray attached and report ..
I am now using belt to hang the arm as local doctor advices.
Is hanging hand with sling enough to heal ? Do I need to do operation ? I am very reluctant about operation and prefer if there is another way to heal ..
I will be grateful for knowing your opinion

Brief Answer:
Can't open the reports attached.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am not able to open any of the reports attached with the query. Hanging the arm in the sling allows the arm to rest and the body helps in gradual healing of the fractured fragments. If there is not much displacement then a fracture can heal with arm sling. Kindly send the reports again or write the report given by the radiologist so that I can help you.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
