Brief Answer:
Yes, allergy can be the cause.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on HealthcareMagic.
I can understand your concern.

Yes, allergy can be the cause of this.
It would be of great help if you can send me a picture of your lower right eye skin.
Honestly speaking there is no cause of allergy. It is actually a tendency of the body to react to allergens.

It can also be hereditary (runs in family).

So please let me know-
1. Do you have any family history of allergy?
2. Do you have any other allergy symptoms like a cough, wheezing, Itching etc?

Please let me know of above-asked questions so that I can guide you better.
For allergy, you should start a combination of antihistamine (Levocetirizine (5mg) or Fexofenadine(120mg)) and anti-allergic (Montelukast) (10mg) once a day at night before going to sleep.

I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
You should get done PFT.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you should definitely consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) for the diagnosis of asthma.
Cough, wheezing are common symptoms of asthma.
You may need inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone).
Oral combination of antihistamine and anti allergic which was suggested by me in previous answer is also recommended in all types of allergies.
Please let me know
1. Have you ever undergone PFT?
2. Are you taking any inhaled treatment?
3. Do you have frequent sneezing, nose blockage, running of nose?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
For PFT, you should consult pulmonologist.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
PFT is not blood test. It is effort dependent test in which you have to breath out and breath in hard in a machine.
Machine will calculate your lung functions through software.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done PFT.
On the day of test, take only light food. No heavy food or no empty stomach.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
