Brief Answer:

Such contractions are harmless.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

At 27 weeks of pregnancy, intermittent hardening of uterus is normal. As long as these are not associated with any pain sensation there is no need to worry. Such painless contractions are XXXXXXX Hick's contractions only.

To be more sure you can do a daily fetal movement count after having meals thrice a day.

If you can feel three good baby movements in one hour then there is no need to worry. You can also increase your fluid intake and have as much rest as possible.

You can avoid all the stressful activities to decrease aggravation of any pre mature pains.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
