Is Heavy Breathing Whenever I Walk Up The Stairs A Serious Concern?
Question: Hi Doctor, GA
I wanted to check few things as I am facing heavy breathing whenever i walk up stairs of 2 or3 floors. I am 37 years old male. Seems like running out of breath and it seems heavy when i walk only 2 or 3 floors . Sometimes i feel better and i dont feel anything.
My history is - i was a smoker until 2 months before and i quit since some months now. I used to smoke 5 to 7 cigerattes per day.
Please advise if i should take some tests or anything else based on this.

Hello again
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It’s good to see that you followed my advise and got the tests done. I have carefully gone through the medical reports of yours and am happy to tell that overall the reports are fine and your breathing problem is not related to heart.
As you used to smoke which has caused issues in your lungs that’s why you feel breathless in exertion. Now as you are young and have already stopped smoking so hopefully your lung health will recover soon.
Just maintain healthy lifestyle routine and go for daily morning walks as it will help recover your lungs at a better pace.
Hope to have been helpful.
